Loverpool want to sell Shaqiri up to €15m. Liverpool are refusing to lower the valuation of Switzerland midfielder Xherdan Shaqiri at €15m (£12.7m) while Olympique Lyonnais are negotiating.
Shaqiri has been seriously attracted to Olympique Lyonnais, with news that both sides have agreed personal contracts. But there is an important problem with the price of Liverpool that has not been able to agree on a price.
Sky Sports reported that Lyon had offered Liverpool an offer of €6m (£5m) for Shaqiri. But the Merseyside club had rejected the offer. Because the price is set much higher than that Liverpool are also confident.
ธhey can fetch up to €15m for Shaqiri after the striker performed at Euro 2020. ฤnd the 29-year-old midfielder’s current contract has two years remaining. Or until the middle of 2023, there is no pressure to sell players this summer.
However, Olympique Lyonnais are continuing to negotiate a fee with Liverpool. They can find a halfway point that will satisfy everyone. Especially Shaqiri, who wants to leave the club in order to get regular playing time. After moving from Stoke to the Reds three years ago for a release clause of £13.5 million.
