Spurs resumed talks with Bologna over the Takehiro Tomiyasu. Spurs have resumed talks with Bologna over the signing of Japan defender Takehiro Tomiyasu.

Negotiations have been going on for over a month. With Spurs looking to beat Atalanta in making personal agreements with the players.

Spurs are reportedly ready to pay €20 million for a versatile defender who can play at centre-half, right-back or even a defensive midfield.

According to Calciomercato, the only thing preventing the transfer from being successful is Tottenham’s payment methods.

Bologna need lump sums to inject their squad this summer. While Spurs want to spread payments in installments. which may be a loan agreement with the obligation to purchase outright

Negotiations are ongoing and Tomiyasu appears to have a heart for the transfer. If successful, it will be the second time this summer that new sporting director Fabio Paratici has brought Serie A players to north London. Previously, the deal was completed with Christian Romero from Atalanta for €50 million plus bonuses.

Tomiyasu made his European debut with Saint-Truiden in Belgium in January 2018. Before he joining Bologna for €7m in the summer of 2019.
